Trip to Europe: Day 2

[I’m sorry for the hiatus in updating this website. I have been on the road in London and in Milan, and didn’t have access to the internet. Now I have arrived at the Maryknoll house in Rome and will be able to do the updating every day–I hope.]

Monday, 18 June, I flew from Myanmar to the United Arab Emirates to the UK and met Justin Smith, my colleague from Cambodia who now lives in London. I went to his house where I will stay for two nights with his family. Click here to see my British arrival.

Europe Trip: Day 1

Today is the beginning of a two-week trip to a conference in Rome for Catholic deaf youth. I’m starting off with a side trip to the UK to visit some deaf friends there. Click here to catch the beginnings.

USA Trip: 24-25 April

I left the Maryknoll house in Manhattan at 1:45 AM Tuesday morning and arrived back in Phnom Penh at 10:00 PM Wednesday night. Click here for a few photos from the journey.

USA Trip: 23 April

Today was my last full day in the US, at least the last non-travel day. I spent a good part of it in Manhattan and then after supper went to bed early because I had to leave the Maryknoll house 1:45 AM. Click here to see some Manhattan sights.

USA Trip: 21 April

Today we finished up the board of directors meeting in the morning and then I had lunch with a priest friend. Then I packed up some school supplies and headed into Manhattan for the time before I leave. Click here for a few pictures from today.

USA Trip: 19 April

Today was a day for taking care of a few tasks and visiting old friends now retired at Maryknoll before dinner with the board members who arrived during the day. Click here for a few photos from the day.

USA Trip:16 April

This trip was different in that it was only two flights from Phnom Penh to New York City. I left Phnom Penh late on a Monday night and got to Tokyo early Tuesday. Click here for the first part of this nine-day journey.

Unfavorable Conditions…

Yesterday I was returning from Bangkok to Phnom Penh and ended up on the last flight out of Bangkok. I got in really late and then found my e-mail folder was corrupted. The meetings were good but the rest of the day sure didn’t go my way. Today, though, I’m back with a repeat of a too-sad posting.
