Trip to the United States

26 May to 7 August, 2004

2004 was to be my home leave year, the extended two-month break Maryknoll gives us every three years.  I had planned to spend most of the time with my family in Kentucky. A special invitation to do some promotional work was given to Maryknoll, however, and because the diocese involved would accept only a priest (not one of the lay missionaries), I was asked to do six "church dates" in South Carolina and Nebraska. That turned the trip into more of a work situation because I will be spending a full month in Nebraska in July, so my home leave has been rescheduled for next year, and 2004 will just be a normal vacation time with five or six weeks of talking to parishes added on.

Here is the itinerary for May through August, 2004.
