  • Monday (14 June) Maryknoll, New York

Today was a "free" day in that I didn't have any ordination events or formal meetings. I used the time to touch base with several offices at Maryknoll. First, though, I delivered several large envelopes that I had brought from Cambodia. Not wanting to trust the sometimes erratic mail in Cambodia, different people asked me to carry documents and computer disks back to the Maryknoll headquarters for them.

Then I met with the Finance department to turn over some money received when I spoke at a parish in Kentucky, then met with one office to talk about making photographs available to them, and then I went to Health Services to pick up some medicines to bring back to Cambodia.

a lot of the rest of the day I used working on the website, updating the section on the ordination activities over the weekend.

  • Tuesday (15 June) Maryknoll, New York

Today was mostly a travel day. But first in the morning I met with the office that works with Asso ciate Priests like me and signed a new contract that will cover me up till July, 2009.

Then I got a ride to the airport in White Plains, NY, and found that my United flight to Chicago had been canceled for mechanical reasons. United put me on an American Airlines flight and I was still able to connect with my original flight from Chicago to Louisville. For some reason, though, air traffic control was spacing planes really far apart and we were delayed forty-five minutes in taking off so that we arrived late in Louisville where my super brother-in-law Mike Davis was waiting to take me to Pewee Valley.

  • Wednesday and Thursday (16-17 June) Pewee Valley, Kentucky

These two days were spent getting the car and other items ready for the trip to South Carolina, washing my clothes, and visiting my mother and some sick friends.
