Willa Cather's Red Cloud

Red Cloud was the home of Willa Cather for many years. She became the chronicler for Red Cloud and this area of the Great Prairie, and the people and the settings of Red Cloud became the subjects of her various books. The Willa Cather historical society has done a tremendous job in rallying the community's interest and involvement with Willa Cather and her legacy, and has preserved many of the houses and other locales that figured prominently in her writings.
