Across the street from the Miner (Harling) house stands the white frame house in which lived Mr. and Mrs. Wiener, the Mr. and Mrs. Rosen of Old Mrs. Harris.  In Willa's childhood, it faced north on the corner lot, with Mrs. Wiener's kitchen overlooking the Cather's backyard.
