St. Ann Church in Campbell

- Saturday (10 July) -- Campbell Parish
- I drove from Red Cloud, Nebraska to Campbell on Saturday afternoon and met Fr. Jim Schrader, the pastor of the parishes in Campbell and Blue Hill. He got me situated, and then I set up a small display in the vestibule of St. Ann's, the parish in Campbell. The mass was at 6:00 PM and there were about 60 people. Afterwards Jim fixed supper and then we sat and talked till 10:30 PM.
Holy Trinity Church in Blue Hill

- Sunday (11 July)
- At 8:00 AM, I was celebrant for the second mass of the weekend at Campbell. About 40 people attended this liturgy.
- Then Jim and I drove 15 miles to Blue Hill where there is one mass each weekend, at 10:30 AM. There were probably 75 people present but Jim said the numbers were down today. Afterwards there were coffee and doughnuts in the parish hall next door, and I had a chance to set up a larger display of books, clothes, wood carvings, etc., that I have brought with me from Cambodia. I also set up the video projector to show some of the pictures on my laptop computer.
- On the way back from Blue Hill to Red Cloud, I took some unpaved country roads just to see more of the countryside and enjoy the surroundings. Several times I stopped to take pictures with my ever-present camera.
