Today was the start of the second Asia Lay Mission Forum being held at the Catholic pastoral center in Phnom Penh. The first forum was in 2015 in Hong Kong and it was so well received that plans for a second forum were begun almost immediately.
Today was the most important day of the conference, with an opportunity to meet Pope Francis and some of his advisors. It was another day spent at the Vatican. Click here for some pictures from the day.
Today was the first full day of the conference and it involved touring the Vatican Museum and then celebrating a liturgy together in the afternoon. Click here to see some of the sights.

Jerry Bell, John Burke, and Joe Graffis are three priests from Louisville, Kentucky and long-time friends and colleagues of Charlie Dittmeier. All the priests and bishops of Cambodia are having a retreat together this week, starting today. We are at the Catholic center in Sihanoukville on the southern coast. Getting here was quite an experience. It took 6+ hours to do 135 miles from Phnom Penh. It’s really late now so I’m not able to post the pictures from today’s trip but come back tomorrow.
