The changing seasons have brought another fruit to the streets of Phnom Penh, but I haven’t a clue what it is.  It’s bright yellow like a lemon and about the same size but it’s more like a small apple.

 

Holy Week services take a lot of time, preparation, and practice, and all of that was in short supply for our Holy Thursday service.  I was on the phone all day to three countries working with refugees and didn’t have time to organize things like a photographer for this evening’s service.

Today Cathy Hammond from the Caritas Australia office in Sydney took Charlie to a secondary school to address a group of student leaders.  Then it was back to the Caritas office to work.  Click here to see the leadership day at De La Salle College.

Today was a free day to recover from travel fatigue and finish up our presentations but it turned into a travel and sightseeing day.  Click here to see where we went.

The last of the Maryknoll group departed from Hua Hin early this morning and by the end of the day just about everyone was back in her or his home mission country.  Click here to see some pictures from this last day.

I had planned to post a larger spread of pictures today but events didn’t work out even though today was technically a holiday.  There were too many people in the hospital I had to see and then I had to finish a report due tomorrow morning.  Maybe in the next couple days I can follow up on my plan.

Lay missioners in Cambodia from a variety of mission groups like Maryknoll and from a variety of countries meet regularly and today was the meeting for December.  Click here for pictures of the Mekong River site and the activities.
