In a previous posting, the felt need to shade the head from all sun was emphasized.  Cambodian women are keen to protect their arms, too, as seen in these photos.  Letting your skin get darker is not worth the suffering from the heat when the women bundled themselves up to let as little of their skin as possible be exposed.
