Hua Hin — Day 7

Today was a meeting day for the different branches of Maryknoll called its different charisms, its different expressions as lay people, sisters, and brothers and priests.  The three charism groups met separately.  Some of them had long agendas, some of them had little to discuss at this gathering.

The Maryknoll sisters met in the large meeting room we used all week long. They had the most to discuss.
After the morning meetings, Roberto Rodriguez was the presider for the final liturgy for all of us together.
At the end of the liturgy Sr. Regina Pellicore (L) was officially welcomed back to the Cambodia region after working six years in New York as treasurer of the Maryknoll Sisters. Ann Sherman presented a welcome gift
Then after mass we took a group photo.
We prefer not to sit in rows like in most churches so we rearrange the chapel for our own use. But then today we had to move all the furniture back to its original places.
After the priests group finished meeting and finished the liturgy, they went out to lunch together.
At 6:00 PM four of our members headed back to Bangkok for medical work tomorrow before returning to their home countries. They got a two-guitar send-off.
The retreat center staff always prepares a special meal for our last supper together but tonight they added a surprise of two cakes for Tim Raible (L) and Bob Wynne celebrating their anniversaries this year.
A custom at Maryknoll is to offer a gift of some money to the center staff who served us all week.
