Maryknoll Bangkok Meeting–2

After the Asia Regional Superior arrived this morning we got going with our meetings and had a full agenda the rest of the day. The topics themselves were interesting and so were the stories of the troubles in Hong Kong where the regional superior arrived from.

This morning when I went down to breakfast, I met the first of the other Maryknollers who have come for this meeting: Fr. Bill McIntire (L) and Fr. Larry Radice.
As we were finishing up two other Maryknoll came for breakfast: Fr. Francis Leong (L) from Singapore and Br. Tim Raible here in Bangkok.
The Bangkok Christian Guest House assigned us to meeting room 4 which was just the right size for our group.
Larry Radice and Tim Raible as they listen to Fr. Joe McCabe explain a point.
Fr. Bill McIntire (R) from Bangladesh with Francis Leong and Br. John Beeching from Thailand.
Getting ready to go to lunch at the end of the morning.
Eating supper in the guest house dining room. L-R: Larry Radice, Francis Leong, Tim Raible, Joe McCabe, Joe Thaler.
After dinner I walked down to Silom Road to see if the man selling shirts was there. I’ve bought one or two from him each year. His shirts were there but he wasn’t!
Coming back to the guest house I passed the street vendors for which Bangkok is famous. They do a booming nightly business with people standing waiting for a place to sit.
