All the Chinese holidays and festivals are celebrated in Cambodia because so many of the population share some Chinese ancestry. We just had the Ghost Festival in which people burn incense and make offerings to their ancestors to comfort them in the afterlife and keep them from troubling the living. Here are pictures of some of the many shops selling suitable offerings for the ancestors. The last photo shows young men selling lotus flowers at the entrance of the pagoda where some would go to pray for their relatives.
