Today we began our official Annual Negotiations Meetings (ANM). The past two days, while I was at another meeting in Bangkok, our representative from the Finnish Association of the Deaf, Katarina Butera, visited the projects in Kampong Cham Province that FAD funds.
This morning Russ Brine and I met Katarina at her hotel to take her to DDP for the first time.
The trip to DDP involved Katarina’s first ride in a tuk-tuk.
Once at DDP, Katarina began meeting staff, starting with Neang Thary (C), our accountant, and Bo Sinh, our cashier.
We had planned to use our downstairs meeting room but found the air conditioner didn’t work so we moved to a smaller upstairs room.
For lunch we tried a small cafe next to DDP, the only eating place for quite a distance.
While we were meeting upstairs, staff from the Sign Language Project were hard at work downstairs.
