New Seminary Building

Today was the quarterly meeting of the priests of the Phnom Penh Vicariate, at the pastoral center in Phnom Penh Thmey. We had a business meeting, then a period of prayer in the chapel, then a tour of the new seminary building followed by lunch and a small Christmas celebration.

We started the morning in the meeting room. Fr. Gabby explained the government’s plans concerning a center for people with disabilities run by his Jesuit group.
After a period of prayer in the chapel, the group went to see the new building just erected for the seminary program in Cambodia.
The future chapel for the seminarians. There are ten seminarians studying for the priesthood in the program. Three are in Bangkok studying philosophy. The other seven will live here while taking theology studies.

From the second floor balcony of the seminary building, Bishop Olivier explained how the remaining sections of the pastoral center will be developed.
At lunch time, the seven seminarians studying in Phnom Penh were introduced.
