After arriving in Louisville Saturday night at 10:00 PM, today was my first full day in Kentucky and it was given over to a family reunion.
In the early afternoon, waiting for others to arise, the Dittmeier brothers and sisters and nieces and nephews gathered in the living room. These gatherings have a new spirit now because of the appearance of a new generation of grandchildren.
The Dittmeiers (the Charles and Martha children and grandchildren) are a tight group and really enjoy getting together.
We are fortunate that all the Charles-and-Martha children are able to get together fairly regularly, coming in from Ohio and Florida and Cambodia.
Finally all the visitors were gone except daughter Sara and son-in-law Jordan and their baby Isla who had time then to really catch up with Grandma Mary and Grandpa Mike.
