I have seen a figure that 60% of Cambodia’s economy is non-formal, that is, the small businesses are not formally registered, pay no taxes, etc. People just set up a business on the street, in their home, anywhere they can find an empty space.
Because of the nature of these businesses their proprietors spend a lot of time sitting and waiting. Here are some photos of different forms and styles of waiting.
