Job Training Graduation

Last week we had a joyful graduation ceremony for twelve of our students who finished courses learning new job skills. It is really important and necessary for us to recognize and celebrate these students because they get so little acknowledgement even from many of their families and because we want to encourage the other deaf students who are pursuing similar courses of training.

One of our guests of honor was late so Keat Sokly (standing, right) was interacting with some of the male trainees and graduates.
One of the private business employers who trains our deaf students.
A graduating barber student giving a reflection on his experience.
Another student, a trainee now, speaks to the assembled group.
Finally it was time for the inevitable photographs of the happy graduates.
