Annual Staff Meeting – 2

Just before boarding the bus at DDP on Monday morning. Sophy is showing off a new hat. I’m always amazed how many different outfits the women staff can bring!
We had many stops in the all-day drive. This was the first–and the most respectable.
Three hours later we were in Kampong Cham and picked up the staff who work in the office there.
We had two buses for the trip because one bus large enough for the whole staff would not be able to navigate the narrow twisting roads of Mondulkiri.
Another stop, just a bathroom break here, but you can see our two buses.
Very frequent bathroom breaks are a normal feature of Cambodian road trips. Here while some people do their thing in the weeds, the others take pictures on the highway. Another normal feature of Cambodian roads is the trash and litter.
Finally we arrived at the Angkor Forest center in Mondulkiri, in northeast Cambodia.
Our first meal at the center. The food was ample and good although the staff complained about the limited choices for breakfast.
