Christmas 2017 #4

We have some very talented musicians, professional and amateur, in our community and they love to sing and to share their gift with the rest of us.  Today two groups, Musica Felice which does traditional choral music acappella and the Ninth Harmonics which sings both traditional and modern Christmas songs and carols, combined to produce a delightful musical afternoon to benefit the programs for children run by the Daughters of Charity.

Musica Felice sang a number of traditional Christmas songs, some well known, some not so familiar, in a variety of languages.

Ms. Miwako Fujiwara is a professional musician and the organizer of many community performances over the years.

The Ninth Harmonics are mostly members of the church choirs of the English Catholic community and they perform widely through the community, especially at Christmas time.

For the final number, Musica Felice and the Ninth Harmonics joined forces to perform a medley of lively Christmas tunes. Well done!
