Hong Kong Trip — Monday

Today was my final full day in Hong Kong and it was a series of goodbyes, first at Chinese University of Hong Kong, then at the old Canossa School for the Deaf (photo above), and then with the deaf community.

My first stop of the day was CUHK where I had the chance to see where Sokly is studying and to say hello to friends Yiu Kun Man (above) and Professor Gladys Tang.
Then Sokly and I made the trip to Wanchai and the old Canossa School for the Deaf. There Sokly and I said goodbye for this trip. It was a wonderful three days with him!
Inside, I was able to spend time with two of the Canossian Sisters I had known thirty years ago. Sr. Theresa Chien (R) was the principal of the deaf school when I was there.
After the school visit, Sr. Theresa showed me the new Mount Carmel Church, built into a modern office tower, and then showed me an underground way back to the subway.
In the evening I had a final dinner in Hong Kong with a group of old friends from the Catholic deaf community.  Wonderful people!
