How monks travel
In one sense the monks are reminiscent of the Amish, eschewing much modern technology and conveniences, and using walking as their main means of getting around.
It is hard to avoid all technology, though, so many monks get around the city on motorcycles. Notice below the different styles: sometimes they are alone on the moto (with the driver; they are not allowed to drive themselves). Sometimes they are two or more on a moto. Sometimes they sit sidesaddle like women with their skirts but sometimes they just pull up their robes and straddle like men do.
Then sometimes you just need four wheels–or at least three.
