SME is the standard abbreviation for Small and Medium Enterprises, the smaller businesses in a nation’s economy. In Cambodia almost every family has some sort of small business they run from their living room in what is called a shophouse. One man on our street near the Maryknoll office must be a wholesaler for other small shops. Every morning he has a motorcycle loaded up, ready for delivery, as I am heading off to the deaf office.
