2017 Priests Retreat–Tuesday The first activity of the day was morning prayer in the big chapel which serves as the parish church for the Catholic community of Sihanoukville. After breakfast, many were checking the schedule for the next four days, some of them taking pictures of it with their phones. This is the large open-sided hall that we are using for the retreat talks. It’s breezy, on a hilltop, so it’s not too hot–most of the time–with the fans running. It’s a long walk from the other buildings, though, when it’s raining! Cooking meals for 40-50 people requires a BIG wok! The retreat is a generally silent one but guys get together for discussions and reflections occasionally. The liturgy today was arranged by the Kampong Cham group of priests. Bishop Antony is presiding.
