Maryknoll Christmas Dinner

25 December 2006

Mother and child

Christmas Day was a working day for all the Maryknoll projects--and a rough day at the Deaf Development Program! There was no sign of Christmas at all. But then in the evening the Maryknollers got together for a turkey dinner at the center house. Also there were various Christians--and one Jewish man!--who had no place to go for Christmas.

Prayer before the meal
On Christmas night, about forty five people gathered for the turkey dinner
Guests from Bolivia
Sr. Regina Pellicore with two Maryknoll friends from Bolivia
Time to eat
The Christmas dinner was a welcome relief after the hassles of working Christmas day

This is the "cold" season in Cambodia, but it's still shirt-sleeve weather--and no sign of snow!
