Christmas in Cambodia 2006

Ecumenical Christmas Service

17 December 2006

Mother and child

Twice a year, the four largest English-speaking Christian denominations in Cambodia get together for a combined ecumenical service. One is at Easter; the other is at Christmas. Today the Christmas service was held at the Chenla Theater. It's not our favored venue, but our usual place was already booked for a wedding.

The musicians and choir

Musicians and a choir are put together from all the different congregations. Some years it's a large group; this year it was smaller.
