Christmas in Cambodia 2006

Christmas Eve Mass

24 December 2006

Mother and child

The English-speaking Catholic community only has one liturgy each weekend, but this year we had the liturgy for the 4th Sunday of Advent on Saturday night and then our Christmas mass in the evening of December 24th. The International Christian Fellowship graciously finished their service early to allow us to start our service before the deadline of the World Vision auditorium we both use.

Preparing the sanctuary
As the ICF congregation was leaving, the Catholics were rearranging the chairs and setting up the sanctuary.
The musicians get ready
Our musicians from the Philippines, numbers diminished by the holidays, did their usual fine job.
Instructions for Joseph and Mary
Juana Encalada gives some last minute directions to Joseph and Mary before their entrance at the gospel.
Greeting some visitors
We had many visitors with us this evening including some staff from one of the Maryknoll projects
