Monday morning I drove back to Maryknoll and turned in the loaner car and then went to Manhattan to the Maryknoll house where I stayed overnight. Tuesday morning I went to LaGuardia Airport to start the journey home to Phnom Penh. |

I stayed only two or three hours at Maryknoll, New York before going to the Maryknoll House on 39th Street in Manhattan. Maryknoll purchased the property long ago--there were sheep grazing on 39th Street at the time--but now it is one of the old brownstone residences that is probably worth a lot of money. This is a view from my window. |

Maryknoll uses the 39th Street House for travelers like me, coming and going to the airports, and for meetings which are more convenient in New York City. This is a small room that I often use in my travels since I'm usually only there less than eighteen hours. |

Adel O'Regan is a former lay missioner with Maryknoll in Cambodia who has now resumed her work with HIV/AIDS patients' rehab in the city. We had a chance to go out for an Italian dinner and catch up with each other this evening. |

New York is New York and for those of us who don't live there, it's a constantly changing panorama of interesting sights. This is a street corner near the Italian restaurant where we ate, at 8:30 PM. |
