Four of the seven MMAF members in Cambodia took a trip to the province of Kampong Cham in July, 2000. The trip was part of the orientation of the new Maryknollers to Cambodia and an opportunity to see how the church operates in the rural provinces.

This fifth page shows the church house where the priest lives and also a school at a nearby Buddhist wat (temple).

Children looking into the school The priest in the Christian village lives in a traditional house with a community volleyball court in front. The house has an outdoor bath house and the only outhouse I saw in the village. The Buddhist temple has a small ramshackle school. Notice the walls do not reach the ground so that the flood waters can move in and out freely. But then the walls wouldn't really stop much water or anything else in their precarious condition!
