Four of the seven MMAF members in Cambodia took a trip to the province of Kampong Cham in July, 2000. The trip was part of the orientation of the new Maryknollers to Cambodia and an opportunity to see how the church operates in the rural provinces.

This fourth page shows the family who fed us during our stay and two others who told us of the Khmer Rouge tragedy.

The grave of a priest killed by the Khmer Rouge in 1973 The top four photos on this page show the house where we ate in the village. The whole family has adopted a child who had been abandoned. The older man and woman in the third row of pictures are two people who told us of their experiences under the Khmer Rouge. The woman's family were executed by being injected with river water. The last photo shows the grave of the priest of the village who stayed with the people at their request and was executed in 1973.
