Meeting Day

This was the final day for the Hong Kong Asian Assembly gathering. There were presentations in the morning which ended with a liturgy honoring those celebrating jubilees this year, and then the meeting ended with lunch.

This is the front entrance of the Stanley House on Hong Kong Island. The building was erected in 1929 but now will be sold in the coming year.

Because there are fewer Maryknoll priests and brothers using the house now, it is divided into a retreat section (for outside guests) and the Maryknoll section. This is the third floor of the Maryknoll section of the building.

Fr. Joe Loftus, a Franciscan priest based in Shanghai, was a facilitator for a previous difficult meeting and so was invited back as facilitator for this gathering.

Fr. Gerry Hammond gave a presentation on Goal 6 of the Maryknoll Society's strategic mission plan. With him were the other pastoral coordinators from the various countries.

At all the meals throughout the week, this dessert table was a favorite place.
