Church Dates in U.S. Midwest2005Part of Maryknoll's mission work takes place in the United States. Maryknoll missioners work overseas in various countries, but when they are home, they are asked to speak in Catholic parishes around the country to help the United States church understand more about mission today and the mission countries where we work. Maryknoll calls these speaking opportunities "chuch dates." In 2004, I spent nine weeks traveling to various parishes in Nebraska and South Caroline. This year Maryknoll has asked me to give church talks in Illinois, Minnesota, Ohio, and Kentucky.
