In Cambodia the Nippon Foundation gives support the Association of the Blind in Cambodia, Cambodia Trust which works with prosthetics, the Deaf Development Program, and to a project interpreting the Khmer Constitution from French into the Khmer language. At this press conference, Mr. Yohei Sasakawa explained the foundation's work here in the country.
After the formal presentation--which was distinguished by the use of Japanese, English, Khmer, and Cambodian Sign Language--Mr. Sasakawa posed with the staff of the Deaf Development Program. Then we were all invited to dinner with him and his staff at a nearby Japanese restaurant.
