 • Tuesday
  • Wednesday

    •  Friday
     • Saturday

Today was the last full day of the retreat and the thoughts of some were already returning to the "real" world as they contemplated the trip tomorrow back to their parishes for the Saturday evening mass and the homilies they must deliver. The day ended with a very nice dinner at the restaurant connected to the Don Bosco Hotel School.
Friday
Leaving the chapel after morning prayer
After morning prayer, everyone exits the chapel and then has to find his shoes before proceeding over to the main retreat building for breakfast.

The newer priests leading the liturgy
Today all the priests who have arrived in Cambodia within the last three years were invited to prepare and lead the liturgy. There were fourteen of them which is a good indicator of why the number of priests has jumped upwards in the last few years.

Missionaries from Myanmar working in Cambodia
Bishop Bo got to meet some priests and sisters from Myanmar who are now doing mission work in Cambodia.

The serviing table at lunch
We were very well fed throughout the week. The food was excellent, simple food but so very tasty. Probably a number of priests added a pound or two to their weight while they were here.

Giving gifts to the center staff
Lunch was the last big meal we would eat at the retreat center, so when the meal was finished the staff were brought out to receive our thanks and some small gifts.

The first group to leave
Because it is four to five hours from Sihanoukville to Phnom Penh and some priests must travel even farther north, one group left after lunch today instead of waiting until tomorrow morning.

A gift for Bishop Bo
After his last talk, Bishop Bo received a gift--a wooden chalice--from Bishop Olivier Schmitthaeusler.

At the pool before supper
At 5:30 PM all the retreatants went to the Don Bosco Hotel School for dinner. First most gathered around the pool as they took a quick look around the facilities.

Enjoying some of the week's photos
Several priests had been taking photos during the week and this group was enjoying looking at some of them.

The serving line at supper
When it was time to eat, there were two serving lines with different types of food, all prepared very well by the students and staff of the hotel restaurant.

The student staff at the restaurant
At the end of the meal, Bishop Olivier thanked Don Bosco for their service and support throughout the week and then he had his picture taken with the restaurant staff.
