Morning Rituals

Riding across Phnom Penh on the back of a motorcycle taxi at 6:00 AM, I get to see some parts of the city stretching to life and getting organized.

Setting up the family shop
A girl in her pajamas and a man in his sleeping towel set up their combination gas station and breakfast food shop
Removing the security fence
A young man moves the sections of security fence that surround a business during the night

Exercising in the street
A middle-aged woman, probably of some Chinese ancestry, doing her morning exercises in the street
Waiting for the market customers
One of the major markets of the city, some shops still closed, but others open for the early birds
