Friday all day and Saturday morning were the sessions for the last board meeting for 2014.

The regional coordinators had been greatly impressed by a presentation by Russ Disberger, an organizational consultant working with Maryknoll Lay Missioners, and the first order of business on Friday morning by Joe Loney and Joanne Blaney was a summary of Russ' work and ideas for translating it into action within MKLM.

Bill Vos is the chair of the Maryknoll Lay Missioners Board of Directors and led us through the various sessions of the meetings.

This is the other end of the boardroom table: Margo Cambier, Mike Wrob, Dave Dreiling, Mike Noonan, and Frank Johnson.

At a meeting of the Advancement Committee, Matt Boyle, the head of the Advancement Department, introduced Laurie Rumph and Bill Bachmann to the board. Seated is board member Rhonda Paver.

We ate lunch at the seminary building. Ian Bautista makes his selections as Marj Humphrey follows him in the line.

In the afternoon session, Mike Wrob examined a map from the Advancement Department showing the locations of major donors to Maryknoll Lay Missioners.

At the end of the day, a surprise liturgy and party had been arranged to celebrate Bill Vos' 50th anniversary as a priest. Several lay missioners and staff led the music for the mass.

Bill presided at the mass in his honor. More than half of his years as a priest,Bill has served mission and the Maryknoll Lay Missioners.

After mass there was a dinner for Bill in the seminary's Founders Room where he was toasted by all his friends and colleagues.
