At Maryknoll

Today we finished the board meeting in the morning and in the afternoon I traveled to Louisville, Kentucky to visit my family.

We started the final session of the board meeting at 8:00 AM again. Bill Vos, the board chair, summarized what we spoke about and what we need to do before the next meeting and then we finished with an executive session without the MKLM leadership present. Marj Humphrey made a point about our publication, Voices of Compassion, while Sara Welch listened.

Ian Bautista offered some comments as Margo Cambier followed along in the executive session.

After eating a sandwich from the meeting leftovers, I got a ride with Sam Stanton to the Ossining train station and caught the Metronorth into Grand Central Station. Then I walked the three blocks to the Maryknoll house in Manhattan and left my suitcase that was not needed for the Louisville trip.

I had a nonstop flight from LaGuardia to Louisville--rather unusual--and soon was at my sister's house where the Dittmeier brothers and sisters and in laws gathered for an enjoyable evening together.
