The return journey started Tuesday morning in New York City, went through Washington, DC and Tokyo, and had a pause in Bangkok overnight. Then on Thursday morning I arrived in Phnom Penh. |
The first flight on the return journey was on this regional jet to Dulles International in Washington where I changed to a Boeing 777 (my favorite plane) to Tokyo.

In Tokyo I changed planes again for Bangkok where I stayed overnight so I could have a medical test at BNH Hospital that Maryknoll uses. On the 4th floor, I found this display honoring Dr. Irene, the doctor I have consulted for the past thirteen years.

Because I had many flying trips last year I am a Star Alliance gold card this year and that allowed me to go to the Thai International lounge in Bangkok. Lounge access is great because it always assures Internet access for work on the road. This Bangkok lounge is almost as big as the whole Phnom Penh terminal.
