Trip to United States

Today was spent with two of my sisters, Ann in Louisville and Martha in Cincinnati.

I'm staying with my cousin Judith English and she and her husband have something of a colonial federalist touch in the living room. An antique wooden desk there is complete with writing quill and ink pots which contrast with my netbook.

  • After working at my cousin's house during the morning, I went to meet my sister Ann for lunch. It was good to catch up with her for an hour or so.
  • Then I headed for Cincinnati to visit my sister Martha and her family. I thought I knew the way but just to be sure I printed out directions to Oak Court on Google Maps. Unfortunately I didn't put the address into the search, just the name of the street, and it turned out there were two Oak Courts and Google sent me to the wrong one. A two-hour trip turned into a four-hour trip.

Martha and her husband Mark have four teenage children who are a delight. My visit with them was shorter than planned but was very enjoyable. They are a very generous and loving family.
