I substituted for the regular priest at two Louisville parishes this morning and then in the afternoon went to a memorial service for a great niece in Lexington, Kentucky

I went to St.Martin de Porres church for their 9:00 AM mass. They have a delightful community. Then I went a little further up Broadway to St. Augustine Church for their 11:00 AM liturgy. It was another wonderful experience, especially because I know many of the people from St. Augustine.

This is the old St. Augustine School building. We located our Catholic Deaf Office here for several years after the school closed. Now it has been renovated into offices and a meeting center for the community.

My sister Jane's first grandchild was born premature and died at birth. Today many of the family drove to Lexington, Kentucky for a memorial service for little Madeline in the cemetery's Baby Garden.
