Wednesday morning I left New York City, Thursday night I arrived in Bangkok where I slept in the airport, and Friday morning I caught the first flight out of Bangkok to Phnom Penh to end my trip.
Wednesday morning at 6:30 AM I flew out of LaGuardia in NYC to Houston and then on to Tokyo and then arrived in Bangkok at 11:00 PM on Thursday night. It's easier just to sleep in the airport and I have found this A Concourse is really good. There are no flights here after 11:00 PM or so and they even shut off the PA system. It's a little spooky because there is NO ONE there during the night but I sleep well on the these padded benches.
In the morning I was awake about 6:00 AM on Friday as the sun was coming across the gate area at the Bangkok airport.
And then after a 50-minute flight on Friday morning I was back in the full reality of life on the streets of Phnom Penh.
