Sunday in KentuckyThe main purpose in coming to Kentucky on this trip was for a funeral service for my long-time friend Dan Onley. We had known each other since ninth grade and shared many interests and experiences. When Dan died, his family asked if I could be part of a funeral service. |
The funeral service was held in New Albany, Indiana at the Cardinal Ritter House, a newly renovated heritage site and museum. After the service some of Dan's family and I posed for a group photo. I hadn't seen some of his brothers and sisters for forty-five years. |

One of the Onley brothers-in-law was in charge of the Ritter House renovations and was able to give us a tour and an explanation of Cardinal Ritter, the house, and the renovation process. |

In the evening, after the funeral, I ran out to Pewee Valley to see my Aunt Mary Pound, the last of the siblings in my mother's family. She is still going strong and running around at 90+ years of age. |
