Today had two main events. First I drove to Ohio to visit Dan Onley, a friend from childhood, and then in the evening I had supper with my cousin Colleen and her husband and her parents. A nice day. |
Dan Onley, a seminary classmate and fellow Eagle Scout, ham radio operator, and pilot, is in a retirement home in Ohio. It was great to see him again. Unfortunately I left the car headlights on while visiting him and the battery was dead, but in an extraordinary stroke of good luck, a woman in the home office had a small unit for jumping batteries and I was on my way in ten minutes! |

I hurried back to Louisville to have supper with Colleen and Allen Balderson and their son Christopher, along with Colleen's parents, Judith and Bob English. It was a delightful visit with a really good after-dinner discussion on a variety of theological points. |
