Another day for catching up with friends and doing odd tasks.
I have known the Darcy family for many years, especially after Peg began working with the sign language interpreting team for the televised Mass of the Air on a local Louisville station. Today I had lunch with Peg and her mother Ruth at their home in eastern Louisville.
Joining us for lunch was Norma Lewis, interpreter extraordinaire, who has served the deaf community faithfully for many years. Norma and Peg Darcy are the usual team for interpreting the televised mass at the TV station.
In the afternoon I drove my sister Ann to an art class she has with Julie Cole. They work on all sorts of craft projects and fine arts.
In the evening, sons Joseph and Michael came to rehang a basketball banking board at their English family home, assisted by grandson Jody. Having sufficient muscle and the right tools made the job possible without too much difficulty.
