Today was another travel day. Up at 4:30 AM, I left Bethany at 5:15 and caught the Metro North train to Grand Central Station at 5:31 AM. From Grand Central I took the bus to LaGuardia and then flew to Chicago to change planes to Louisville where I arrived at 4:30 PM.
The bus from Grand Central Station left promptly at 7:00 AM for LaGuardia, traversing just a few blocks of Manhattan around 42nd Street. Maryknoll has a brownstone house on 39th Street, bought years ago when the neighborhood was used for goat pastures.
After leaving Grand Central, the bus quickly goes under the East River through the Queens Midtown Tunnel.
The pilot flying from Chicago said the Louisville weather was partly cloudy but by the time we landed an hour later rain had begun.
My sister Mary met me at the airport and then we went to my sister Ann's house to pick her up and take her to dinner.
After dinner the Louisville brothers and sisters met to discuss Ann's situation and the repairs taking place on her house in the Highlands. Then it was on to Mary's house where I was to spend the next two nights.
