Early this morning I left Niantic, Connecticut and drove back to Maryknoll, New York. The trip TO Niantic had taken almost four hours because of weekend and holiday traffic. Traveling back in the morning took only two hours.

| Most of today was spent finishing up some work and packing everything in preparation for the return trip to Asia tomorrow, but in the afternoon I went over to St. Teresa's Residence, a retirement and recuperation home for the Maryknoll priests and brothers, to visit Fr. John Barth who is recovering from surgery. John and I lived together in Phnom Penh—twice--before he returned to the United States. He is now hoping to arrange mission work in South Sudan. |
