Trip to United States

21 September to 11 October 2010

6 October (Wednesday)

In the morning we worked a little on the MKLM handbook and then turned our attention to recommendations to leadership from this Global Council.  In the afternoon we had an evaluation of this meeting and then a session with the seven new candidates for MKLM membership, followed by a dinner with them.

Morning prayer was prepared by Jason Obergfell from Bolivia and featured a brilliant photograph he had taken there. Morning prayer
All the regional coordinators walked over to the seminary building for lunch there.  It gave us a chance to reconnect with many of the Maryknoll priests and brothers we have known and worked with in various countries. Lunch at the seminary
I went to the Maryknoll Gift Shop to talk to the manager about selling some handicraft items made in a project in Cambodia.  She said it was entirely possible and asked me to send her some materials. Maryknoll Gift Shop
Then I went to the Maryknoll Archives and delivered five packages of documents from the Maryknoll files in Cambodia.  Archives tries to keep a record of Maryknoll's ministries throughout the world. Maryknoll Archives

Alisha Sinclair and Bernie Butkiewicz show Russ Brine examples of the way they would like receipts to be submitted to the MKLM office here in monthly mailings from the regions.  I had my turn with them after Russ. Finance department staff
