| The morning prayer was led by Joanne Miya, the regional coordinator from Tanzania who arranged an environment in the chapel centered on fabric and materials from Africa. |

| For part of the morning, we worked in small groups to discuss ideas about fund-raising. Jason Obergfell, David Kane, Joanne Blaney, and Charlie Dittmeier met in the dining room adjacent to the meeting room. |

| In the afternoon, Sam Stanton, the executive director of the Maryknoll Lay Missioners, spoke about the process for producing a new strategic plan for the association. |

| Alicia Butkiewicz (left front) is the Director of Mission for MKLM but will be resigning in December after eight years in leadership during a very difficult period. Tonight, the last night we would have together by ourselves, we all went to the Croton Diner to eat but also to show our appreciation to Alicia for her service. |
