| Today was a preparation day. I worked at the home of Bob and Judith English all morning, and then met Jerry Timmel for lunch. After lunch I went to a cousin's house but they weren't home, and then went to the bank and filled the car with gas for the trip to Missouri tomorrow. Then back at home I worked on the church bulletin to send to Phnom Penh for this weekend. |

| Fr. Jerry Timmel is a long-time friend and my predecessor in working with the Catholic deaf community in Louisville. He has also supported the deaf program in Cambodia. Now officially retired, he helps out in a parish and is also very active with the St. Vincent de Paul Society. |
