I spoke at all three masses at the Cathedral of St. Andrew in Little Rock today. Their mass schedule is a little unusual in that the masses are so widely separated time-wise, one at 8:30 AM, one at 12:05 noon, and the other at 5:30 PM. |

St. Andrew Cathedral parish, the mother church of the diocese of Little Rock, was dedicated in 1881 and is the oldest continually used worship space in Arkansas. It is a beautiful building, especially inside, where it is not immense but is quite adequate and comfortable for the congregation. |
 |
An imposing statue of St. Andrew is situated in front of the church which has many statues, memorial plaques, historical photos, etc., throughout the complex. |
 |
One particularly impressive memorial is this set of bronze doors gracing the entrance to the cathedral, in honor of one of the earlier bishops on his anniversary. |

After the final mass of the day, a family of the parish invited me to their home for supper and a delightful evening of discussion and conversation. |
