Fourth Day of Retreat

13 January 2009

Morning prayer
Every morning the environment for the morning prayer changed according to the theme of the country team which prepared the prayer.
Timothy radcliffe at first lecture
Today was the last full day of retreat with Fr. Timothy Radcliffe but he still had all the attention of all the participants and was being described by some as maybe the best retreat leader they have had.

Kevin Conroy, Rodrigo Ulloa, Celina Campas
Kevin Conroy, Rodrigo Ulloa, and Celina Campas used their laptops and an iPod to take advantage of the center's wireless network which enabled them to work outside the computer room.
Meding Tan and Susan Kingham
Meding Tan and Susan Kingham took advantage of the center's sunshine to enjoy their break on the grass outside.
Looking at retreat photos
Charlie Dittmeier put together several slideshows of photographs taken during the retreat and showed them on a laptop during the breaks.
bill McIntire presiding at mass
Bangladesh was responsible for the liturgy this morning and Fr. Bill McIntire was the presider. With him was Doug Venne from Bangladesh and Sr. Christelle Zabalerio, now in East Timor, but formerly in Bangladesh.
Lunch time
Joe Thaler, John O'Donoghue, Mel Ortiz, and Bob Wynne at lunch.
Lay missioner meeting
In the afternoon the Cambodia/Vietnam Region of the Maryknoll Lay Missioners had a meeting in which Celina Campas reported further on last October's general assembly in New York.
Evening prayer
Amy Braun from Thailand looks at the finally assembled collage of photos of Maryknollers serving in South and Southeast Asia after the evening prayer.
Open forum discussion
At the end of the day, there was an hour-long open session in which participants from the retreat could ask questions and offer comments on any ideas from the retreat so far. Fr. Timothy Radcliffe functioned more as an observer and occasional commentator rather than the leader of the forum.
